Beyond Brave
Female Veterans Retreat
September 11 - 13, 2026
Join Us
There is a unique bond shared among women who have served.
Beyond Brave was created as a place where female Veterans can step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect with themselves, nature, and one another. Set on the peaceful grounds of Glenn Hope Care Farm, this free weekend retreat offers space to rest, reflect, heal, and be supported by a community of women who understand the journey of military service.
Surrounded by rolling fields, animals, gardens, and open skies, participants are invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and experience the restorative power of nature. Whether you are newly transitioned from service or have been a Veteran for decades, you are welcome here.
What Makes Beyond Brave Different?
This is not a conference.
It is not a training.
It is not another obligation on your calendar.
Beyond Brave is an opportunity to simply be.
Through thoughtfully designed experiences, meaningful conversations, and gentle opportunities for personal reflection, participants are encouraged to reconnect with their strengths, honor their stories, and build lasting connections with other female Veterans.
Retreat Experiences May Include
- A Pre-Retreat optional Accountability Buddy to offer extra support in attending the retreat
- Guided wellness and mindfulness activities
- Nature-based healing experiences
- Time with farm animals and the land
- Creative and reflective workshops
- Community meals and connection
- Opportunities for rest and personal renewal
- Group discussions with fellow female Veterans
- Campfire conversations and shared stories
Every activity is offered as an invitation. Participate as much or as little as feels right for you.

How to Sign-Up
Inquiry Forms open on July 11, 2026. Interested female Veterans will be asked to complete an online survey and provide proof of military service, such as a DD Form 214 or other acceptable Veteran identification. The survey includes the traditional paperwork before a visit to the farm (emergency contact information and a liability waiver) as well as other questions to help our retreat hosts prepare the most comfortable, welcoming experience possible. We appreciate your time and feedback in helping us to build a beautiful weekend for all our guests.
Following Inquiry Form submission, a member of our committee will reach out to you to connect and answer any questions you may have about the retreat and follow-up with any additional needed details from your Inquiry Form. This chat will be light and can be over the phone or Zoom/Teams (your preference).
Submitting an inquiry form does not necessarily indicate an invitation to the retreat. Due to our limited guest space and free admission for this inaugural retreat along with the need to be stewards of our donations, female Veterans will be invited to the retreat on a first-come/first-inquiry basis with priority given to those who can maximize their retreat experience with attendance throughout the entire weekend.
We will close to inquiries August 1.
Selected participants will be notified of their invitation by August 15, 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in the event of rain?
We will still camp in the rain (we are female warriors after all) and camping in the rain can be an incredibly freeing and ridiculously fun experience. HOWEVER in the event of severe weather, we will post-pone to the following weekend of September 18-20.
What if I cannot make it the entire weekend?
You should still apply. Let's stay-in-touch as our committee takes inquiries for this first retreat. If many Veterans apply, we will start a Wait-List, if the list is smaller, we will include guests who can only join for a partial weekend.
Remember that Glenn Hope Care Farm is a sanctuary for you to enjoy throughout the year - you are welcome to camp any time we do not have an event previously scheduled on the property.
What if I have never been camping and don't have any gear?
We've got you covered! Let us know what you need and we will have it provided for you.
Can I bring my Service Dog or Comfort Companion?
Official ADA Service Dogs are welcome but please let us know in advance to create the most comfortable sleeping accommodations for you and your pup. Well behaved and leashed comfort dogs are also welcome but please remember we are a farm with livestock, farm animals and wildlife in our surrounding fields and woods. If you would like to trial-run your pup on the farm, reach out and we can schedule time for your comfort companion to join you on a farm tour.
